![]() ![]() In one of the interviews, Huffman even called protesting moderators “landed gentry.” As moderators didn’t see anything changing, many subreddits decided to extend the blackout. Meanwhile, Huffman took a strong stance in his AMA and took a dig at Apollo and Selig. Thousands of subreddits went dark starting June 12 to protest those changes - it caused a brief outage as well. The company has made deals with apps like RedReader, Dystopia, and Luna and given them exemptions from its “large-scale pricing terms.” The only exception Reddit made was to allow free access to the API to non-commercial apps providing accessibility features. Other third-party developers of clients like Reddit is Fun and Relay for Reddit also said that they will shut down their apps on June 30. Selig later said that, because the social network is not ready to make any changes to the pricing structure, he is forced to shut down Apollo. ![]() API pricing quoted by them could cost him $20 million a year to run the app. Earlier this month, Christian Selig, the developer of a popular Reddit client for iOS called Apollo, posted that he had a call with Reddit. In April, Reddit announced that it is going to charge for its API, but didn’t announce any pricing. The platform is facing one of the strongest backlashes from the community, but the CEO seemingly doesn’t want to budge. The Reddit co-founder also talked about protesting moderators, changing site rules, and profitability in these interviews. In interviews with The Verge, NBCNews and NPR, Huffman defended business decisions made by the company to charge third-party apps saying the API wasn’t designed to support these clients. But yeah, i get that not that many people are like me so there is maby no need for it.Reddit CEO Steve Huffman is not backing down amid protests against API changes made by the platform. I just really like to safe my notes as pdf and upload it to google drive to back it up, thats why i would like the feature in the app. I noticed the option to select multiple notes or folders and click on export to PDF, if i pressed it tho nothing happened, so maby this is a bug and will be fixed soon, as the dev is really trying to make it better imo, so my hopes are kinda that it will get really good for my usecase in the future. I just think it would be really useful if you could merge different notes of print them all in one PDF document without the need of printing everything to PDF seperatly and merging it all together in another program. ![]() Scrble Ink: I think this is not that big of a deal, I'm actually thinking about sticking with the app. Maby they changed it some time ago and if you bought it before you got the pro version as a one time buy. Its kinda weird tho, I have talked to people that got the full version with a single buy. I am really looking forward for some great suggestion from anyone who maby found an alternative that would fint my needs better than any of the programms above!ĭwawboard: At least for me a lot of the app is locked behind the pro version, which is 3€ a month if i recall correctly. Penbook - can't insert images and don't like the organisation with the books.Drawboard PDF - needs subsciption after the initial buy of 10€.Nebo - no graph paper is kind of a dealbraker.GRAHL software - PDF Annotator - looks really outdated, laggy.Scrble Ink - best so far, but dont't like the filesystem.can't figure out paper sizes, takes long go switch between pages I don't like, that you can't save onenote files locally and that you can't really export them well to PDF for sharing, which is essential for me because I like to have my stuff organised in files that not only ONE programm can read and sharing is caring at university. I'm student at a technical university and want to know if you would have any suggestions for me what app to use for taking handwritten notes on my surface pro. ![]()
